YEIDA’s Recent Plot Allotments
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has recently finalized the allotment of 49 plots in two big schemes of industrial and medical development. The industrial plot scheme, which was on offer from May 8 to July 31, received 527 applications out of which 448 applications were declared eligible. YEIDA allocated all 37 plots in sectors 29, 32, and 33, distributing them between general/MSME units (22), Toy Park (2), Apparel Park (8), and Handicraft Park (5). Moreover, in the Medical Device Park scheme (June 16 – August 6), 21 plots were available in Sector 28. 20 out of 48 applications proved to be eligible.
Draw of lots on September 22 led to the allotment of 12 plots to companies in fields like cancer care, radiology, implants, anesthesia, and in-vitro diagnostics. Nine plots are vacant and will be included in future schemes. All in all, the projects are projected to attract investments of nearly ₹800 crore.
YEIDA is also focusing on providing low-cost housing.
There will be a new scheme for 4,000 low-cost housing plots of 30 square meters each that will cost ₹7.5 lakh and will be launched in the region of the new Noida International Airport at Jewar.
Such plots are kept for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and are located in Sectors 17, 18, and 20 on Yamuna Expressway. The project aims to provide housing solutions for factory workers with an annual income of ₹3 lakh. Infrastructure Developments For better connectivity, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has given the approval for the construction of a new three-lane RCC bridge over Hawalia drain on the opposite side of the Sector P-3 roundabout. The project would ease the travel to Pari Chowk and the Noida Expressway and ease the traffic congestion and provide safety. The bridge will be completed within a year’s time.

The rates for apartments have increased by 158% and plot rates by 536% during 2020 to 2025 as property prices have increased exponentially. The boom is being driven by the anticipated economic boom initiated by the new airport infrastructure.
